Central Mass workers' movie night

ADMISSION IS FREE, BUT RSVP IS REQUIRED

RSVP for exact location

Join workers from around Central Mass for an in-person movie screening — and stick around after to meet other workers and chat.

Union Maids (1976) is a 50-minute documentary directed by DSA member Julia Reichert. It features the inspiring stories of three women — a Black laundry worker, Midwestern farm girl, and Croatian immigrant — who became rank-and-file activists, union organizers, and warriors for the working class in the 1930s labor upsurge.

Bring friends, family, and coworkers — union and non-union!

"This is the best film on labor history I have ever seen."
—Howard Zinn

“This inspiring film will be a classic. It makes the 1930s live. It makes you laugh, makes you cheer. It's going to be shown through the years, to millions.”
